Key Candidates Influencing Property Owner Interests in 6/28 Primaries Vote:

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) want to double its footprint in the legislature from 6 to 12 members in the 2022 elections pledging expanded rent control (which diminishes property rights).

Weber Realty Management recommends the followings candidates that are significant in advancing property rights over the DSA’s socialist agenda in NYC:

NY State Assembly District 54 (Bushwick, Cypress Hills, Ocean Hill Brownsville):

Vote: Erik Dilan

Erik Dilan is the incumbent and is running against Samy Nemir Olivares who is endorsed by the DSA.


NY State Assembly District 37
(Sunnyside, Long Island City, Maspeth, Ridgewood):

Vote: Joanna Carmona

Joanna Carmona running against Juan Ardila, a Working Family Party (WFP) candidate who is known for leftist ideology.

NY State Assembly District 30 (Elmhurst, Woodside, Jackson Heights):

Vote: Ramon Cando

Ramon Cando is a law and order candidate. His opponent, Steven Raga has advocated for extending the eviction moratorium.

NY State Assembly District 11 (Northeast Queens):

Vote: Stefano Forte

Stefano Forte, a conservative Republican, will be running against Democrat John Liu who intends to diminish property rights.

NY State Assembly District 70 (Harlem):

Vote: Inez Dickens

Inez Dickens has refused to sign on to the “Good Cause Eviction” bill despite intense pressure from DSA and HJ4A. She is running against Delsenia Glover, a tenants advocate in the primary.

NY State Assembly District 58 (East Flatbush, Canarsie):

Vote: Hercules Reid

Hercules Reid, an Independent, lost his special election to Monique Chandler-Waterman, but is re-challenging for the primary.

NY State Assembly District 65 (Lower East Side, Chinatown, Financial District):

Vote: Denny Salas

Denny Salas is running against Illapia Sairitupac (a staunch DSA candidate), Grace Lee (who recently endorsed GCE).
